Call on Speaker by US Congress Delegation

A delegation of six US Congressmen led by Congresswomen Rep Debbie Wasserman Schultz paid a courtesy call on Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin at Parliament House this morning. They re-affirmed the strong and longstanding friendship between Singapore and the US, and also had a good discussion on healthcare, housing and manufacturing developments. Besides Speaker Tan, Singapore Members of Parliament, Mr Ang Wei Neng (Chairman, Singapore-America Regional Parliamentary Group), Ms Tin Pei Ling (Deputy Chairman, Singapore-America Regional Parliamentary Group) and Non-constituency Member of Parliament Assoc Prof Daniel Goh were also present at the Call.
