41st General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly

Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin led a delegation of 18 Members of Parliament (MPs) to participate in the virtual 41st General Assembly (GA) of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) hosted by Vietnam from 8 to 10 Sep 2020. All meetings and sessions held during the GA were conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. The 41st AIPA theme was “Parliamentary Diplomacy for a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN Community”. The Singapore delegation comprised Deputy Speaker Ms Jessica Tan Soon Neo, Leader of the Opposition Mr Pritam Singh; as well as MPs Mr Patrick Tay, Dr Lim Wee Kiak, Ms Tin Pei Ling, Mr Darryl David, Mr Kwek Hian Chuan Henry, Ms Joan Pereira, Mr Saktiandi Bin Supaat, Mr Melvin Yong, Ms Mariam Jaafar, Mr Xie Yao Quan, Dr Wan Rizal, Ms Nadia A. Samdin, Ms Poh Li San, Mr Derrick Goh, Ms Carrie Tan and Ms He Ting Ru.
